Book with George
George has a high level of diagnostic responsibility within his role, including the ability to request and interpret MRI scans, advise on non-surgical and surgical treatment pathways, and refer directly for specialist interventions such as spinal injections or consultant review when appropriate.
George has extensive experience in assessing and treating a wide range of spinal conditions, including persistent and complex back and neck pain, sciatica and nerve-related symptoms, disc injuries and spinal stenosis, post-operative spinal rehabilitation, and long-standing or recurrent spinal problems. He is passionate about supporting patients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what their symptoms mean, and helping them move forward with clear diagnosis, specialist guidance, and an evidence-based plan.
His clinical approach is rooted in evidence-based practice and tailored to each individual. George places strong emphasis on listening carefully to each patient’s story and goals, then developing a personalised rehabilitation plan. He uses a combination of detailed diagnostic assessment (when indicated), clear explanation of imaging and findings, targeted rehabilitation and movement strategies, pain science and education, and consideration of psychological and lifestyle factors to promote recovery, restore function, and support long-term confidence in movement.
Alongside his clinical work, George contributes to spinal research as an Assistant Principal Investigator on the national RADICAL trial, helping to advance the evidence base for spinal treatments. He has also worked as a lecturer in spinal assessment and diagnosis at undergraduate level, supporting the development of future physiotherapists. George also holds a PGCTLHE (Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
What do I enjoy treating?
"I have a particular interest in working with people who have more complex or persistent spinal symptoms — especially those who have not improved with previous treatment, or who are considering injections or surgery.
I enjoy supporting patients who want clarity about what is going on, what their scans or symptoms really mean, and what their best next steps are. Helping someone move from uncertainty and fear into confidence and a structured plan is something I find incredibly rewarding.
I place real importance on taking time to listen to each individual, understanding their goals, concerns, and what matters most to them. Creating a calm, supportive environment where people feel reassured and informed is central to how I work."
A bit about me
"I am known for my calm, thorough approach and my ability to translate complex spinal problems into clear, practical steps toward recovery.
I understand how important movement, confidence, and quality of life are, and I bring that understanding into my clinical work every day."
