Make an injection enquiry →

Our Fareham injection clinic provides specialist assessment and injection therapy for a range of shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions.

The service is led by Mike Gillingham, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist & Hand Specialist Physiotherapist, who works at Band 8a specialist level within the NHS and has advanced postgraduate training in injection therapy.

Upper-limb symptoms can arise from joints, tendons, tendon sheaths, bursae and nerves, sometimes producing very similar symptoms. Mike’s specialist assessment helps identify the most likely source of the problem and whether injection therapy may be appropriate.

Before Your Injection

Before your appointment, Mike will consult with you by telephone or video to review your symptoms, medical history and any relevant imaging, and discuss the most appropriate injection option.

When you attend the clinic, she will assess you in person and confirm that the planned injection is appropriate before treatment.

What Happens After an Injection?

After your injection, you will be given individual guidance about activity and returning to normal movement.

Where appropriate, injection therapy can be combined with specialist upper-limb rehabilitation to help restore movement, strength and function.

Mike also provides specialist shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand assessment and rehabilitation from the Fareham clinic.
