Specialist Physiotherapy Services
Our services extend beyond a standard exercise programme, combining specialist assessment and rehabilitation with imaging, injection therapy and other advanced treatment options where clinically appropriate.
Find your specialistSpecialist Care, Guided by Clinical Need
At Solent Specialist Physiotherapy, care begins with a detailed assessment and a clear understanding of what is causing or contributing to your symptoms.
Our clinicians provide specialist diagnosis and rehabilitation, supported where appropriate by services including imaging referral and interpretation, injection therapy, manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling and selected pelvic-health treatments.
These options are not automatically recommended or provided as isolated treatments. They are selected according to your diagnosis, clinical findings and individual goals, and integrated into a wider treatment and rehabilitation plan.
Specialist Assessment & Rehabilitation
Detailed assessment, clear diagnosis and structured rehabilitation tailored to your condition, stage of recovery and individual goals.
Imaging Referral & Interpretation
Referral for X-ray, ultrasound or MRI where clinically appropriate, with findings interpreted alongside your symptoms and examination rather than in isolation.
Injection Therapy
Steroid, hyaluronic acid and selected dual-action injections may be considered where clinically appropriate, usually as part of a wider treatment and rehabilitation plan.
Manual Therapy
Skilled hands-on treatment may be used selectively to reduce symptoms, improve movement and support progression through active rehabilitation.
Acupuncture & Dry Needling
Selected needling approaches may be used alongside rehabilitation to help manage pain, muscle tension or movement restriction where appropriate.
Pelvic Health Acupuncture
Specialist acupuncture for selected pelvic-health concerns, including persistent pelvic pain, painful periods, pelvic-floor muscle tension and endometriosis-related symptoms.
Pelvic Health NMES
Neuromuscular electrical stimulation may be used selectively to support pelvic-floor muscle awareness, activation and rehabilitation.
Ganglion Cyst Aspiration
Specialist assessment and aspiration for appropriate wrist or hand ganglion cysts.
Care That Connects With the Wider Clinical Pathway
Our role is not limited to providing treatment within the clinic. Where appropriate, we can liaise with your GP, orthopaedic consultant, rheumatology team, pain clinic, imaging provider or another healthcare professional to support coordinated decision-making.
If further investigation or another specialist opinion is required, we can help guide the appropriate next step. This may include imaging, consideration of injection therapy or onward referral for medical or surgical assessment.
The aim is to provide clarity and continuity, particularly when symptoms have persisted, the diagnosis remains uncertain or previous treatment has not produced the expected improvement.
Which Service Is Right for Me?
You do not need to decide which investigation or treatment you require before booking.
Your clinician will begin with a specialist assessment, explain the likely source of your symptoms and discuss the options most appropriate for you. Where necessary, this may include imaging, injection therapy, liaison with your GP or consultant, or onward referral to another specialist service.
