Specialist Injection Clinic in Gosport
Specialist injection therapy for knee, lateral hip, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions.
Make an injection enquiry →Our Gosport injection clinic provides specialist assessment and injection therapy for a range of knee, lateral hip and upper-limb conditions.
Treatment is provided by specialist physiotherapists working within their own areas of expertise. Victoria Smith provides knee and selected lateral-hip injection therapy, while Mike Gillingham provides specialist shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand injection therapy.
Both work at senior specialist level within the NHS and combine injection therapy with detailed assessment, clinical diagnosis, imaging review or referral where appropriate, and rehabilitation planning.
This means an injection is not considered in isolation. Your symptoms, clinical findings, previous treatment, relevant imaging and what you would like to get back to are all taken into account when deciding which treatment option may be most appropriate.
Conditions We Treat With Injection Therapy
Our Gosport clinic provides specialist injection therapy for selected knee, lateral hip, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions.

A Note About Hip Joint Injections
Our Gosport clinic injects selected lateral hip conditions, but we do not perform injections directly into the hip joint.
If your symptoms appear to arise from the hip joint itself, Victoria can assess the problem, review or arrange imaging where appropriate, and advise on the most suitable treatment or onward referral.

Meet Our Gosport Injection Specialists
Gosport injection therapy is provided by Victoria Smith and Mike Gillingham, who both work at Band 8a specialist level within the NHS.
Before Your Injection
Before your appointment, Victoria will consult with you by telephone or video to review your symptoms, medical history and any relevant imaging, and discuss the most appropriate injection option.
When you attend the clinic, she will assess you in person and confirm that the planned injection is appropriate before treatment.
What Happens After an Injection?
After your injection, you will be given individual guidance about activity and returning to normal movement.
Where appropriate, injection therapy can be combined with specialist rehabilitation to help you make the most of any improvement in pain or movement and progress towards your longer-term goals.
Victoria also provides specialist Hip & Knee rehabilitation through the Gosport clinic at Linden Grove, while Mike provides specialist upper-limb assessment and rehabilitation for shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions in Gosport.
